This week marks a significant milestone for me: I’ve been on HRT for two years.

I recently had my bloods tested again and here are the results:
- Oestrogen: 741 pmol/L
- Testosterone: 1.2 nmol/L
For comparison, here are the normal levels for a cis woman:
- Oestrogen: between 300 and 1200 pmol/L
- Testosterone: between 0.5 and 3 nmol/L
I shared this information with a group of friends and a cis friend responded. She mentioned that I have less testosterone than she does naturally. Her last test (for a completely different reason) was 2.0. This made me incredibly happy.
Another noticeable change is that my breasts have grown this month. After a six-month hiatus (they must have taken a break from drinking oestrogen), they’ve grown by 0.2 inches. I’m also very happy with that result as my main body dysphoria is my chest.
I did, however, have to take out the piercing I have had done, as it started to hurt a lot. I think this is due to the growth I mentioned above. So it is advisable NOT to get your boob’s pierced if you are on HRT for at least, after talking with someone who has better knowledge of this than me, five years.
Other than that, it has been the usual things that have happened over the last year or so: body fat redistribution, my smell changing, my emotions all over the place, softer skin, and less body hair.
I’m I glad I went through this, after 2 years? Yes. I have not felt more complete and happy in my own skin as I am now.
The King’s Speech
Last week, in the King’s speech, the King announced that the government would introduce legislation to ban conversion therapy in this parliament. This is the third consecutive year this has been promised.
I’m not optimistic about this happening but it’s important to keep the hope alive.
