The EHRC, late last night, has released some of the most hyper-conservative guidance that would attempt to enforce sex segregation across the UK, targeting trans people(trans men not being able to use women’s bathrooms if they’re ‘too masculine’, businesses with unisex bathrooms told they are not allowed to have them and must have a cis bathroom and a trans bathroom, declaring that any lesbian organisation that includes trans women should not call themselves lesbian).
Trans kids in schools would be essentially made to detransition socially, putting them in dangerous positions where they would be at risk. Trans men who are gay utilising gay spaces as well would apparently make that organisation not gay, and it calls for what amounts to outright segregation of all public services.
The EHRC guidance is deeply unworkable; in fact, it’s so unworkable that the only way that companies and businesses and public services could enforce this would be to breach data protection rights.
This guidance isn’t legally binding, but it is possible that many businesses and FART organisations/groups etc. Will encourage many to follow it and push ministers to abide by and implement its guidance.
And of course, it was issued late on a Friday night when so many would not be able to address it.
This amounts to the most socially conservative, anti-trans guidance in the entirety of EUROPE over the past 20 or so years, which is saying something.
It’s the most biased document I’ve ever read in my life, and the more I read, the worse it got.
There is some leeway in some of the wording, but for the most part, this document and the PDF attached to it is just a call for social segregation and a push for trans people to detransition.
I suspect unless Labour winds in the ECHR then this will go to the European Courts Of Human Rights, as it basically dumps on any basic right that I and all other Transgender people have in the UK. I know this is only so called guidance but this will be spun as law by the powerful MSM and anti-transgender groups.
IT IS NOT LAW.
