This week marks 9 months since I started HRT. Since starting HRT I feel more threatened by the system taking HRT off me now than ever before. Let me explain.

I pay for HRT privately, with the help of my GP who has been amazing. The company I went with is GenderGP, who has also been amazing even though they have had a bad reputation recently.
My GP helps with blood tests and prescriptions for HRT yet I feel like this will soon stop thanks to the current Labour government. They seem to be shifting more to the right every week and Transgender Healthcare is now in the crosshairs of the current Health Secretary, Wes Streeting.
Thanks to one de-transitioner, who I will not name, the anti-trans group, Sex Matters, is now pushing for a review into transgender healthcare for all transgender people, not just under 18’s, which the already factually inaccurate CASS report stopped all transgender healthcare for under 18s.
If this review goes ahead, I am sure it will be again factually inaccurate just like the CASS report and will mean all transgender healthcare for adults will also be banned, even from private companies like GenderGP.
This is scary times for the transgender community in the UK. The current Labour Government that was our great hope is just as bad as Reform UK and the Conservatives regarding our existence.
We have to stay strong, and look after each other.
