Well, this week as been an important week for me so far. Monday I was elected as the LGBT Officer and Disability Officer for my local Labour CLP. Tuesday I started volunteering at the British Hart Foundation, tomorrow representatives from GIS Leeds is visiting my local LGBT group, which should be interesting to say the least.
I am on the waiting list for the GIS in Leeds so a lot of questions will ask about the waiting times and what it entails.
Also, during these past few weeks I have been feeling a lot more comfortable in who I am, what I want and be happy in myself. I know I will never pass, I still have thoughts about self harming (thanks to Gender Dysphoria) but after getting a cheap dress from PLT and wearing it I thought, yes, this is how I want to be, this is 100% me, this is the woman I should have been.
Just a simple thing like a dress. Amazing. Now I want to get all the dresses I can get my hands on, but I can’t as I can’t afford it, but over the next 6-12 months I want to get a few dresses a month. I have 5 already. I have become a lot more style conscious recently, I like to look good. It also seems to help my PTSD as well.
Hopefully someone will notice and want to get to know me better, that would make my life complete.
