I went to the Labour Conference last weekend. While there I went to a fringe event organized by LGBT+ Labour about banning conversion therapy. The following was on the panel. Matt Lloyd - Co-Chair - LGBT+ Labour Nancy Kelly - CEO - Stonewall Dame Angela Eagle MP - Co-Chair - LGBT+ PLP and NEC Member Annelise Dodds MP - Shadow Minister for Women and Equalities Finn Grive - LGBT+ Foundation. After introductions Matt handed over to Annelise Dodds. - the main take from her speech was in the first 100 days of a new Labour Government Labour will pass a law stating that Conversion Therapy for all people will be banned, that includes transgender and none-binary people. Angela Eagle was next, basically repeated what Annelise said but also that Labour NEC are working on a definition of Transphoiba for the party. She also said over the next 2 years Labour will fight the conservatives for LGBT+ Rights. Finn was next, when he said as a trans man he left the Labour Party thanks to the transphobia he

This week will be a quick one as I am concentrating on getting ready to go to the Labour Conference this weekend so there might not be a blog post next week. I'm a Homoflexible - Homoflexible people primarily identify as homosexual but are sometimes attracted to the opposite sex. What does that mean in reality as people said that sounds like you are bi-sexual. No. I hate men, I NEVER want to be in a relationship with a man. They treat me like a piece of meat most of the time and I hate that. I am human with feelings BUT I like sex with men. Women on the other hand I am very attracted to. I would go into a relationship with the right woman in a heartbeat, and also not as defensive about women either. A good instance is this morning, a female friend said she has found a fella that was interested in me, and could she pass on my number, so I said fine as I trust my friend. This is the gods honest truth on how I feel 90% of the time. I with I was dead. I hate being a trans woman, who would want me? Who would love me? I'm a fucking woman. Stuck in a man body. Not only that I am a lesbian. I wish I was dead. BUT I have trans brothers and sisters. I have to fight. I WILL FIGHT. Fuck this world. I am ME. I am a woman. I am a Soldier. I am a VETERAN. So Liz Truss is going to be our next prime minister the day I write this post. This is very bad news for the LGBT+ Community. The next 2 years we have to be vigilant on the policies she will try and sneak in. Here are 6 reasons why Liz Truss is bad news for us LGBT+ people, 1. Liz Truss has failed to ban conversion therapy This is a big one for me as I know 4 people who have been through this personally, 2 are now dead, the other 2 are still affected by what this practice did to them, one of them badly 30 years on. The pseudoscientific, traumatising practice is still legally permissible in all regions of the UK despite repeated mumblings from Truss and others in the equalities office about plans to bring forward legislation. It has now been more than three years since the Conservative government first pledged to ban conversion therapy. Since then, government ministers have repeatedly failed to deliver on their promise.
