Stonewall helping LGBT Afghans and COP26 is a joke.
Transphobia seems to be on the rise in the UK. As someone who was born in the 1970's I lived through the Section 28 dark days when I was at school. There was no education on LGBT when I was there and as someone who knew she was in the wrong body I thought I was just weird. Obviously I know know I was a transgender person but it would have been good to know what a transgender person was even when I was struggling though childhood.
Now there is a fight for Trans Rights going on in the UK, and the MSM seems to have taken on the side of we don't have any rights. Sorry but trans rights is basic human rights. I know what it was like to struggle when I was younger, I had to join the Army to get away from it, but obviously that didn't help as the forces at the time was just as bad as civy street. I had to wait until I was 45 before I felt confident to come out as my true self, a Trans Woman.
There is currently a law being drafted by the government that makes "conversion therapy" illegal here in the UK. Unfortunately there are massive holes in the law as Stonewall pointed out here.
A survey from Stonewall points out 51% of recipients of this barbaric practice was handled by Christian organizations. How can this be so? What makes then experts in this field? Now I have no problem with people believing we was created in 7 days etc, IE the bible, but for them to say it not right that you can not to be your true self is wrong. It is not up to some organization that believes what the bible says, so must believe that "god put us on this earth in his image", to change that image.
I hope the government changes the law so there are NO loopholes.
