Lifestyle Changes since coming out as a Trans Woman.

Since coming out as a Trans Woman a few weeks ago I have noticed some changes to the way I look at things now. Here is what I have noticed. 1. Lost interest in Computer Games, and Computers in general. This is a big one for me. I used to be in computers in a big way. In fact I used to be a senior computer tech for a university. I also used to play games a lot, did a YouTube channel all about reviewing technology and gaming and also streamed a lot. Since coming out I hardly play any games, sold my Xbox and a lot of my streaming stuff and my PC is only on for about 1 hour a week now. 2. Going clothes shopping a lot more ... and enjoying it. Before coming out I hated going clothes shopping. In fact I avoided it as much as I could. Now although I have to go clothes shopping as I didn't have any women's clothes I love going there, especially the charity shops, there's so many bargain's to be had ! ! Now I have enough women's clothes that I have given all my old men's

Guest Writer this week - Lola Kendal on HRT ! !

Hello there, my name is Lola Kendal ( lolakendal.com )  and I am a transgender female who has been on hormones since October 2020. I am doing a piece specially for this blog as to what to expect when you start using hormones to change from Male to Female as I have a bit of knowledge on the subject now. Maybe I will be back again in the future to report how I am getting on. 😊 Background Unfortunately, I was stuck waiting years for NHS assistance with gender dysphoria and like most transgender people, I was left on the side-lines with no date given. I have been waiting for NHS help now since April 2020 but previously had numerous counselling and help from doctors to no avail before this referral was made for the second time. First time it got lost in the system to my horror.  I started to take hormones by self-medicating and ordering them online however the risks were great to my health and is not something I would recommend anyone doing.  My gender dysphoria felt better but this soon f

Things you can do while waiting to see a gender clinic as a Trans MTF.

While I am waiting to see a gender specialist, which can take 3 years or more here in the UK, there are a few things you can do to make you feel a lot better. Some of them you can do without coming out, some you can't. 1. Get your nails done. Going for a manicure is a very good way to make you feel more female. Personally I have had 2 done and it is a very relaxing experience. If you get the colour Black then a lot of people wont look twice as the Goth community do it. 2. Wear women's underwear. If you can, wear women's underwear. It will get you used to wearing them. Sports Bra's are a good thing to use. For Knickers I would go for the Bikini variant.  G-Strings make you feel sexy but can be uncomfortable until you get used to them. 3. Makeup. Makeup is a personal thing. Personally I use foundation to get rid of some of my freckles, a bit of lipstick and a smudge of eyeliner as well. Sometimes I just go out with some lipstick on. Like I said its a personal thing, don&

Living as a Trans Woman for the first few weeks.

As you know by my last post, I am a Trans Woman. Although I am not on HRT (Hormone Replacement Therapy) I have been wearing women's clothes and wigs. I have started to do this now as the waiting list for HRT is a long one, about 2-3 years here in the UK. I have been doing this full time since I came out. In fact the only man's stuff I still wear are Socks and Shoes. How as this gone down when I go out? Well so far it has been good. No one has had an argument with me (which I expected). The people in the pubs I go to have been very supportive. Most men just say ok, don't care, while the women in the pub see me as a friend now (even though I am still a Pan/Bisexual). I have had strange looks from some people. There is one thing I have done, but did also before I came out as a Trans. Every time I go out I wear headphones. Namely the Echo Buds that also has Noise Cancellation. I wear these as it helps me with my PTSD but the other benefit is I can not hear any sniggers etc if
